Dr.-Ing. Stefan Hartung has been Managing Director of Robert Bosch GmbH since January 2013. Since January 2019, he has been Chairman of the Mobility Solutions division. Hartung is responsible for the Powertrain Solutions and Electrical Drives divisions as well as the India region. Previously, he was responsible for the Energy and Building Technology and Industrial Technology divisions as well as the Bosch Connected Industry product division. Stefan Hartung was born in Dortmund in 1966, is married and has two children. He studied mechanical engineering, specializing in manufacturing technology, at RWTH Aachen University, where he also received his doctorate in 1993 in the field of quality management methods. He joined Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH, Munich, in 2004. Previously, he worked for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the management consultancy McKinsey & Company in Düsseldorf.
