Uwe-Karsten Städter joined Volkswagen AG in 1974. In the course of his career, the industrial specialist took on various management tasks in the group. After working abroad as Head of Procurement Chemistry at SEAT in Martorell (Spain), he has been responsible for the procurement exterior in the Volkswagen Group since 2002. From 2007, he served as Head of Group Procurement Electrical/Electronics and was appointed Executive Board for Procurement at Porsche AG in 2011. During his term of office, Porsche AG's purchasing volume increased from two to over nine billion euros. At the same time, the number of employees in the procurement department doubled to around 580 employees.
